Once you have decided to use The Sisters McMullen Bakery, we suggest putting down your deposit as soon as possible! Due to the limited number of bookings we will accept per day, we wouldn't want you to be disappointed if you wait, and then find we are all booked for your big day!
How to plan your Wedding Cake in 6 easy steps!
- Flavor - pick flavors, up to three, you would like to try
- Size - How many people will be attending your wedding? Will you be serving another dessert? Would you like extra cake to send home with guests? Will you be saving the top tier for your first anniversary? These answers help us figure out how big your cake should be.
- Do your homework - Pick out some pictures of cakes you like, as well as cake you hate! This way we can see your style and use it as our guide. Visit our gallery to get started.
- Think about why your wedding is so special - When we design a cake, we try to bring together elements that make your wedding unique...the trim on your dress, the flower that the groom will wear for his boutonniere, nature or architectural elements from your ceremony or reception site, a design element on your invitations.…….you get the idea!
- Schedule your free tasting and consultation... And not just with us! We encourage brides to visit and try samples from several bakeries. We feel sure you will not find our service and quality anywhere else!
- Book your cake!!
We request that you limit the maximum number of people in your party to four. It’s been our experience that a party larger than four will only add confusion to your decision, inasmuch as the space available for seating and the amount of cake available to each party in our tasting plates is limited.
Please note that all wedding consultations take place at our 840 Merrimon Ave.location.
Traditional Wedding Cake Flavors -We offer these delicious flavors: Orange, Lemon, Toasted Almond, Chocolate, Vanilla Cream, Marble, and Red Velvet. Prices for any of these flavors frosted with butter cream icing starting at $2.25 per serving.
Premium Wedding Cake Flavors -Carrot, Italian Cream, Chocolate espresso, Chocolate Amaretto, Cinnamon Obsession, and Chocolate Raspberry Ganache. Prices for any premium flavor frosted with butter cream Icing starting at $3 per serving.
Groom's Cakes -Our delicious Chocolate Cake with Chocolate butter cream icing.
Prices start at $1.75 per serving.
Delivery -Delivery in Buncombe County is $35.00. This includes set-up and placement of fresh or silk flowers on the cake. Price for delivery outside of Buncombe County is based on distance.
Cake Deposit -At the time the wedding cake is ordered a 50% deposit is collected to hold your date. The final payment for the wedding cake is due at least two weeks before the wedding date.
Cake Stand, Plate, Columns Deposit -A deposit to cover the replacement cost for any plates and columns used in your wedding cake is collected and then returned to you when all pieces are returned in good condition. If all pieces, including plate under top cake, are not returned within one week the deposit will not be refunded.
